*lets out an exasperated sigh* I suppose I have probably taken at least a half dozen photos that warrant going on deviantART but like so many others I just never have the time!

Anyway, onwards!

This photo has atmosphere! One of my best B&W's to date from a creative and technical standpoint. The focal point is directly on the middle of the kitty - you can tell by the effects of the light on the top of his head and his tail (especially the tail, it overtakes the fire rather than vice versa). The best part for me is that I did absolutely no cropping or color editing. It took me a long time to learn how to frame my photos properly, and even though the subject (kitty) does not follow the rule of thirds, the photo as a whole does. It goes from fruity cake's head in the NE corner to the fire in the SW corner. And lastly...it was taken in a dark room (the fire and candle are the only lighting) at ISO 400 yet it doesn't look overly grainy, and his lip is the only thing that is blurry yet the photo still maintains the presence of action! That kitty looks hungry....^_^
